August 2013

A quick catch up from March to August. It's been a mixed bag of sad and happy events this year, but when the sun came out in July and the earth warmed up in England our spirits were raised.

I spent the wonderful month of July sitting outside writing and drafting! When not doing that I was riding my new horse – what more can a girl ask for.
Back in April on the evening of the 16th at Waterstone's Bookstore in Farnham, was the launch of THE SONG THE WAVES SING, the sequel to Sea Creatures. I thank all my friends and family for being there for me and would like, in particular, to thank Sheena the manager and her colleagues at Waterstone's for offering the store as a venue and for all their help and support. Sorry to hear you've left, Sheena, you were a great manager and advocate of local authors.
I've nearly finished the novel set in Africa – well it's on a second draft and a thorough check up of research facts. Then it needs a copy-edit and a proof read; then begins the daunting task of approaching agents… watch this space…
Happy rest of the summer days
